Clinical Assessment: One of our experienced therapists will complete a face-to-face assessment to gather information about current problems as well as behavioral health, medical and family history. We will also use an objective instrument to fully determine the nature and the extent of the problem; the PAI (Personality Assessment Inventory) is our preferred instrument for this purpose. Our goal during the assessment is to identify the nature of substance use, personality factors that exacerbate substance use, comorbidity issues that complicate the person’s ability to respond to intervention and treatment, and social factors that may either complicate or compliment treatment. We will use this information for the purpose of providing individualized feedback and treatment planning.

Verification of Insurance: Our admissions staff will verify insurance benefits, often prior to the face to face assessment to confirm that treatment will be covered.

Contact referral Sources: With permission, we will contact any referral sources; this allows us to communicate about relevant clinical information, thus improving both continuity and quality of care.

Pre-certification of Admission: When indicated, we will review the clinical findings of our assessment with an insurance company reviewer to obtain authorization for a client’s admission to the program. The final process of the admission process include a meeting with the client and/or family to review and obtain signatures on all necessary treatment and financial forms, as well as review insurance benefits and payments.
